For a few pennies or dollars, you can save a child’s life from the three most life threatening diseases in Burkina Faso: Malaria, diarrhea and pneumonia. To cover a person under the Community Health Worker system is only $6.56 per year. It costs $50 a month per health worker for supplies such as medicine and bandages.  It costs only $1,700 to train and equip a community healthcare worker.
